Bio

Born into a musical family in “small-town Texas,” Janie Womack began performing with her mother and sisters at a very early age. A singer and a self-taught guitarist, Janie is a former member of the Central Pennsylvania Womyn’s Chorus, a cappella quartet Three J’s and a C, and local band t.l.o. stone soup.  Currently at work on her first full-length CD of original music, Janie recently released the 3-song disk, "Three Thirty-Three"

Julie Lowery, a native of Lancaster County, began to add her vocal talents in late 2005. Also from a musical family, Julie grew up singing in school choruses and at church. She attributes her natural ability to harmonize to her mother – one of 5 sisters, 4 of whom performed regularly in their early years. She has sung in choral groups, quartets and trios but she’s never had more fun than singing with Janie.

Womack & Lowery play the local coffeehouse circuit, as well as festivals and private events. They also give back to their community by donating their time and talents to non-profit organizations in the area. They perform “music of many colors” including originals, blues, country, ballads, folk, Americana, and even old standards. Their style is acoustic, and their delivery is straight & true. When these two join forces, their energy will send chills down your spine. Their different personalities and experiences serve as the perfect backdrop for humor. They’ll make you laugh – they’ll make you cry – and that’s what entertainment is all about!
